The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home that has a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined household revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent 2025 nsfas application inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
